John was born in Munich, grew up in Bavaria and California and has lived in Spain for 17 years. He is fluent in English, German and Spanish.
He began his production career 1993 in Los Angeles working for 9 years as a photo producer for German sports wear catalogue Sport Scheck, he specialised in the Caribbean, Miami and the western US. After those years he moved to Andalusia, where he 2002 joined FotoFilmVideo, a production service provider based in Jerez de la Frontera. Together with founder, Dan Uneken, he worked, throughout Spain with the focus on Andalusia, on more than 100 media productions (from cinema to advertising to photo shootings and corporate videos) as fixer, production and location manager. 2013 John founded ShootOutside Services & Studios based in Cadiz and Almeria.
John lives on the Atlantic coast in the province of Cadiz, one of the most beautiful and scenic regions of Europe, offering fascinating beaches, winding roads and breathtaking mountain panoramas.
The ShootOutside Outdoor Studios studios are located in the Tabernas desert. Studio One specialises in transport photography. Studio Two is focused on commercial and editorial fashion photography. Between the two ShootOutside bases he provides professional production services throughout Andalusia and all of Spain.
